  3. General Information on Data Processing
    a) Subject and Purpose of Personal Data Processing
    The project website “git.nrw” provides information material about the project of the same name as well as training content for GitLab. The website is operated jointly by the project consortium.
    The project website does not collect, process, or store personal data unless the user provides it through the contact form.
    For the use of the provided training content, the user’s browser only stores the last visit to the website and the viewed/completed courses.

    b) Recipients of the Data
    Personal data will not be passed on to third parties or used for purposes other than those mentioned here, subject to legal provisions.
    The data stored in the browser for the training content is only stored in the user’s own browser and can be deleted there independently at any time (cache).

    c) Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
    The processing of personal data in connection with the project website takes place within the framework of the consortium’s public relations work, which is part of the universities’ tasks. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. e), Para. 3 GDPR in conjunction with § 3 Para. 1 DSG NRW in conjunction with §§ 3, 8 Para. 6 HG NRW.

    d) Data Deletion and Storage Duration
    The data collected by the website, such as IP addresses, are deleted after seven days.
    The data stored for the training material is stored in the user’s browser and can be deleted independently at any time.

  4. Provision of the Website and Creation of Log Files
    a) Subject and Purpose of Personal Data Processing
    Every time this website is accessed, a technical exchange of information between your end device, for example your computer, tablet or mobile phone, and servers that provide the website for retrieval is necessary. With each access to the website, data about this process is temporarily processed and stored in a log file.

    b) Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
    The temporary storage of data for technical communication and log files is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. e), Para. 3 GDPR in conjunction with § 3 Para. 1 DSG NRW in conjunction with § 3 HG NRW.

    c) Data Deletion and Storage Duration
    The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for achieving the purpose of its collection. Usually, this is the case after seven days at the latest. Extended storage is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users are deleted or alienated so that an assignment of the calling client is no longer possible.

    The project website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on the user’s computer system. When a user accesses a website, a cookie may be stored on the user’s operating system.
