Registration and Project Classification

  1. Go to https://gitlab.git.nrw/users/sign_in and log in using the “git.nrw University Login” button.

  1. Select your home institution.

  1. You will then be redirected to your institution’s Single Sign-On (SSO). Enter your username (e.g. ab123456), password, and the second factor.

After completing the login process, it is important to determine what type of project you want to organize using GitLab:

a) A small project, for example, to manage yourself and only a few other people? Then you can proceed directly to the section “Creating a New Project” .

b) A large project with many participants both within and outside your own organizational structure? Then you should continue with the section “Creating a New Group” .
